Reid has not played for the Republic for almost two years

Republic of Ireland midfielder Steven Reid was forced to miss training in Oslo on Monday evening ahead of Wednesday's friendly against Norway.
Reid won the last of his 20 caps against Germany in 2006 and Republic boss Giovanni Trapattoni is keen to see the Blackburn man back in the team.
However, a knee injury is threatening Reid's participation on Wednesday.
Liverpool's Steve Finnan is expected to play after being persuaded to return to international duty.
Trapattoni put Finnan and the other Republic players through their paces in a training session at the Bislett Stadium in Oslo on Monday night.

However, the game will take place at the Ullevaal Stadium.
Republic medical officer Alan Byrne said that Reid missed Monday's session as a precaution.
"Steven took a knock to his knee yesterday in training, so we just thought it was better that he sit out the session this evening," said the Republic's medical officer.
"We will review the situation tomorrow, but the expectation at this stage is that he will resume training tomorrow."
